AGE

You must be 18+ to get a tattoo. No exceptions under any circumstances.

I require a physical proof of age card (passport, liscence, 18+ card) at the day of your appointment.

PAIN

Yes tattoos do hurt, but it’s a very manageable pain. I’ll do my best to keep you as comfortable as possible during the process. If you’re considering using numbing cream, please let me know beforehand, as different brands can impact the outcome of your tattoo.

PREPARATION

Preparing for a tattoo will make the experience easier for you. I reccomend the following physical tips:

- Please avoid using drugs or alcohol for 24 hours before your appointment.
- The area must not be sunburnt, avoid sun exposure a week prior to the appointment if possible.
- Eat a hearty meal within 3 hours before your session, stay hydrated, and get plenty of rest.
- Avoid blood-thinning medications like nurofen, fish oil, and aspirin for 48 hours before your appointment. If you’re taking any prescription meds that might affect healing this must be disclosed on your consent form.

AFTERCARE

  • When you get home, remove the cling wrap and wash the tattoo with un fragranced antibacterial soap and warm water. If you don’t have soap like this, avoid soap. Pat your tattoo dry with a clean towel and leave it to dry.
  • Leave the tattoo to dry heal without ointments, moisturisers or creams for two days. After the tattoo has dried apply a small amount (pea-sized) of aftercare cream to the tattoo. Make sure that your hands are always clean when doing this.
  • Keep your tattoo away from pets to avoid exposure to bacteria. If your tattoo does come into contact with your pet, be sure to wash the tattoo.
  • After getting a tattoo, it’s important to be cautious with exercise. If exercising, listen to your body and don’t push yourself if feeling weak. I recommend taking it easy the first few days back and avoiding exercises in the area of the tattoo. Make sure to always wash thoroughly after exercising.
  • Avoid all swimming, saunas, pools, oceans and creeks for 2 weeks following the tattoo.
